Nationally, healthcare provider demand is expected to exceed supply exponentially over the next 10 years with Kentucky’s need for more providers among the highest in the nation. Training physicians and other healthcare professionals to practice statewide in Kentucky is of critical importance. The world-class medical education facility will include approximately 450,000 square feet for the UK College of Medicine, UK Colleges of Public Health, Health Sciences, Nursing and the Center for Interprofessional and Community Health Education. The building will house programs and services that include classrooms, simulation suites, seminar rooms, conference rooms, faculty, and staff workspaces. The Health Education Building will be the hub for healthcare provider related education and preparation for the next generation of health leaders in the Commonwealth and beyond.
